our client has built two successful national window cleaning businesses and now your local is the third. the previous experience of fast growth and three family generations of window cleaning since 1919 have come together to present a modern version of this very fragmented service industry with big aspirations and an opportunity to join a business that is going to break the mould.

the role of financial controller within your local is to be accountable for all day-to-day management of finances for the company and the production of all management accounts, including forecasting of profit and loss and ensuring continued strong business (and franchise) cash flow.

an ability to relate and review data from the operational teams throughout the business into the forecasting of the business is key, as is an eye for detail.

in addition to the above, good personal skills and strong customer service is essential to ensure good relationships with auditors, insurers, current and potential investors and the board are maintained.

the financial controller is expected to support and follow the company values, policies and objectives. additionally, also supporting any areas of the business when required.

job responsibilities include

oversee all company accounts and investmentscreation of monthly and annual reports, identifying results, trends, and forecasts.ensure all financial transactions are recorded, filed, and reported accuratelyestablish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with regulations and legislationexamine all financial reports and date closely to check for discrepancies and look for financial improvements to aid better cash flow
person requirements

at least 2 years’ experience as a proactive financial controllerknowledge and experience of xerocomputer literacy – especially in excelstrong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on customer service, integrity and reliabilityhigh attention to detail and strong analytical skillswillingness and flexibility to work across the company in a proactive and hands on manner
