Part-time private carer - united kingdom, henleaze, bristol
we are looking for a local, self employed, part-time carer to join our little team supporting a lovely couple in their late 70s at home in henleaze, with everyday living.
no agencies please.
specific shifts are tuesday 9am-12pm and alternate weekends saturday 5-7pm and sunday 5-7pm - 3-7hrs/ week + holiday cover for other carers.
£18-20/hr depending on experience.
the gentleman has severe aphasia and struggles with communication and at times understanding. his wife has parkinson's disease. both are fully mobile but require daily support:
domestic duties; meal preparation, cleaning and laundry
personal care – supporting with leg care and compression stockings for gentleman
taking on outings and appointments
holiday cover for other carers
essential requirements:
experience as a carer (experience with stroke patients and parkinson's suffers would be helpful.)
patient
reliable
good references from similar work
dbs check
fully vaccinated
a driving license and car would be helpful but not essential.
the successful applicant would join a team of 4 wonderful carers who cover 7 days a week between then. we offer training and monthly catch up to ensure the care team are fully supported and able to care for the couple to their best abilities.
