do you have experience working in retail? adecco is assisting our popular retail outlet client located in wrentham, ma in hiring a retail key holder to join their team. candidates must be available for weekends in support of the holiday season (esp "black friday"--day after thanksgiving). payrate range from $16.50-$17/hr. see full job description below and "apply now" to be considered for these in demand positions.

the key holder shares in supervising and is responsible for tasks involved in the overall performance and operations of the store including sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, human resource management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

essential duties and responsibilities

• actively drive sales and assist in managing the overall team selling effort in the store to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives through world class customer service

• effectively manage and develop staff in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel and provide coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate.

• competently and responsibly assist in directing and managing the total operations of the store. this includes management of stock control, shipping and receiving, product replenishment, visual merchandising standards, store cleanliness, store maintenance and upkeep, store supplies upkeep and ensure store physical inventory shortage results are at or below company standards.

• consistently assist in ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures through sales floor management and audits.

• proficiently operate the cash register / pos system, including accountability for overages and shortages on assigned cash drawers and accurate entries.

• responsibly manage and develop subordinate staff, providing for coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate.

• proactively assist in maintaining an orderly system for planning, coordinating, and completion of tasks, which results in the achievement of goals and creates a positive atmosphere to drive volume.

• thoroughly ensure all applicable information is communicated to fellow management and employees.

• diligently work to maintain the visual merchandising strategies for the store to create a store environment that provides our customer with a positive shopping experience. these strategies are accomplished through maintaining standards of visual presentation, communicating store inventory concerns through appropriate channels, maintaining basic store standards of presentation with all sizes and styles represented on the selling floor, and maintaining proper housekeeping standards on selling floor and stockroom.

• consistently and supportively ensure all store employees provide a high level of customer service at all times. set a positive example.

• effective selling skills and techniques on the sales floor. exercise good judgment in resolving customer service issues.

• responsibly and thoroughly train and support in all areas of loss prevention awareness, i.e.: checking for proper item identification and miss-mated shoes, concealed items, internal / external theft, administrative accuracy, etc. • other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

minimum qualifications – education & experience

• high school diploma or ged equivalent.

• basic math skills as it relates to retail sales (conversion, traffic leverage etc.).

minimum qualifications – skills & abilities

• intermediate computer skills.

• ability to effectively communicate the features and benefits of our brand and products to customers.

• ability to read, write and speak english at a proficient level.

travel requirements

• valid driver’s license and 100% access to secure, reliable transportation and ability to make trips to the bank and run errands without any non-client employees in the vehicle. exception: not required for stores with a mall bank drop available or that utilize a secure cash transport service.

physical requirements

• ability to lift up to 50 lbs. up to shoulder height on a regular basis.

• ability to climb ladders.

• must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.

• ability to repeatedly bend and/or kneel to service customers.
