we are looking for an experienced professional class a cdl hostler at a kansas city, mo terminal.
position requirements:
cdl class a driver’s license 23 years of age or older good driving record - no more than 1 minor moving violation within the last 3 years or suspension/revocation (of any kind)/ dui/careless driving within 7 years.)responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
moving 53-foot trailers throughout the yard for our customer at their location staging trailers in dock doors and trailer yard placing wheel chocks and fifth wheel stands in accordance with customer request pre and post trip trailers by ensuring they are compliant with fmcsa working m-f and some saturdays are required, scheduled in advancesuccessful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
cdl class a driving experience ability to operate day cab tractor ability to manually chain up if necessary good safety record experience backing and maneuvering trailers safely into tight areas experience with hooking/unhooking trailers from tractor itself ability to perform work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedules and customer commitments knowledge of dot rules and regulations knowledge of maintaining company electronic logbooks on smartphone or tablet possess good customer service skillswhat we offer:
