Group parts & aftermarket manager - united kingdom, altrincham, manchester

gunn jcb are a leading main dealer for the jcb range of construction machines. in order to attain our ambitious goals, we are now looking to recruit a group parts manager to lead and mentor our parts department to achieve stringent targets.

you would take ownership of the performance of the parts departments across the entirety of gunn jcb's territory, from preston in the north to west bromwich and hereford in the south.

you will have had experience leading a team to demonstrable success within the parts / aftermarket sector, with exemplary communication and coaching skills at all levels of the business.

ensuring that stock control is carried out at depot level in line with company policies and proceduresmotivation of parts staff to ensure every opportunity is maximised to sell parts and attachmentsimplementation of positive change to ensure that parts growth, both through service and direct to customers, is in line with the company's and jcb's expectationsmentoring, challenging and development of staff through training and performing annual appraisalscompiling reports on depot performance to highlight areas of potential growth, generate leads for new products and product lines on campaign, monitor stock levels and minimise stocking costspresentations to the board and jcbtargeting "growth customers" and the development of professional relationships to ensure long term, mutually beneficial businessinvolvement in all stages of the recruitment process for new staff, including the drafting of job descriptions, person specifications and advertisements, as well as carrying out shortlisting and interviewing of potential candidatesdevelopment of systems to promote structured growth aligned with customer satisfactiondeveloping, promoting and maintaining strong interdepartmental relationships to allow holistic provision of products and services to customersliaising with marketing department for the development of profitable and attractive promotional campaignsmonitoring the strategies of competitorsactively pursuing lapsed customerslong term and capacity planning to ensure the department is properly resourced for future challenges and opportunitiesdevelop strong working relationships with the other uk jcb construction dealersactively support the implementation of uk projects and sales focused programssupport depot supervisors to improve customer loyalty, sales penetration and aftersales turnoverliaise with and serve as a point of escalation for major and large regional accountsdevelop and maintain pricing strategies for key product lines and key accounts customersmonitor logistical challenges and identify new solutions to maintain and improve profitability of parts deliveries, and support a network of home-based engineers operating nationwideform mutually beneficial relationships with jcb at all levels of the organisationassist jcb with the development of new product linesresponsible for growing, developing and ultimately increasing revenue of a sales team selling parts and attachment solutions across our territory. through a strategic and structured approach, you will lead, coach and encourage new business opportunities as well as fully maximizing existing accounts through the distribution network
