we are looking for a dedicated and proactive domestic couple for a full-time role working for a lovely private family in marlborough, wiltshire.

the couple will be joining an established team of longstanding members of staff.

this is a 5 day per week role, which may include weekends, so flexibility is required. the couple will be provided with a spacious 3-bedroom cottage with a private garden, as accommodation (the employer is happy to consider pets and children).

the family is two adults and their three teenage children, this is their main residence, although they do spend some time in london and travel during school holidays. there will be busier periods followed by quieter periods.

the employer is looking for a domestic couple who have a fantastic work ethic, positive attitude, and flexible approach, who are happy to muck in where needed to ensure this happy household runs smoothly. the current team share the responsibilities and work very well together.

the candidates must be happy working around household pets, and happy to help care for them when required. one of the candidates (ideally both) must be a confident driver.

salary offered dependent on skills and previous experience.

duties and responsibilities;

general housekeeping and seasonal deep cleaning
interior and exterior maintenance/ handyman duties
assisting the full-time gardeners with mowing, hedge cutting and sweeping leaves etc
assisting with the care of the dogs
school runs / airport drop offs / collections
laundry and ironing
liaising with contractors
preparing and cooking meals – freezing filling
reporting any issues to the estate manager
preparing guest accommodation
shopping and running errands
front of house duties
vehicle maintenance

to be considered for this role you must;

5 years’ experience as a domestic couple within a private household or estate
possess (/be willing to get) an up-to-date dbs check
have excellent contactable references
be eligible to work within the uk
have a valid passport
