we are looking for an experienced cook/housekeeper for a full-time live in role working within a private household in kensington, london.
as the family employ two other daily housekeepers, your role will primarily be to cook three meals per day for the husband and wife and occasionally their grown-up children. they eat healthy but simple meals like soups, salads and most vegetarian dishes. they often eat out and are by no means looking for a chef as they will always bring in a professional when entertaining so are just looking for a switched-on person who can follow a recipe and enjoys spending time in the kitchen.
when not cooking, you will be required to support the other two housekeepers with general cleaning or perhaps running some errands. the family travel throughout the year and would love their housekeeper to travel with them occasionally.
the accommodation provided will be a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and a little garden in the basement of the property with its own separate entrance. the family really look after their team and most have been with the family for 10 to 30 years!
ideally the family would like their cook/housekeeper to work from monday to saturday but are open to candidates who are only available monday – friday.
the salary offered will be in the range of £45,000 - £55,000 gross per annum, and the exact salary offered will depend on experience and availability.
