sonya winner rug studio is a small award-winning luxury design studio creating

graphic, vibrant and highly original contemporary rugs that transform a space with

their positive happy colours and bold designs. the business has grown quickly in the

last year, so it is an exciting time to join our small, dynamic, fun and creative team.

we pride ourselves in developing close relationships with our customers resulting

with more than 35% repeat purchases. we sell online (90% of sales) and in our

beautiful designer showroom to end customers and interior designers. our main

focus is selling online to end user driven by organic search, social media activity,

press features and online advertising.

work environment

our airy and spacious light-filled studio/showroom is located in a quiet friendly village

backwater close to hampstead heath, independent shops and cafes, the tube and

overground. our ergonomic design studio at the back of the showroom has a fully

equipped kitchen, a shower for running or cycling to work and 2 laidback, loving

hypoallergenic studio dogs!

job requirements

studio/ showroom tasks

· creating price lists for ceramics, jewellery, art we sell in the studio.

· creating client presentations

· keeping studio handbook up to date

· ensuring all studio and office supplies are in the correct place and easy to find

under supervision of the studio manager.

· check post box daily and put away new deliveries

· managing supply levels of studio/office consumables

· ordering and returning showroom and office supplies: packaging materials,

ink supplies, stationary etc.

· adding information to artworks and checking accuracy

· computer management – contacting external it support when problems arise.

· booking weekly rubbish pick up first mile (tuesdays.)

· instructing/supervising cleaner

· keeping the showroom tidy and presentable on a daily basis.

· keeping our colour library up to date.

· keeping online files, folders and databases up to date and very well organised

· assisting with planning of photoshoots and on location

rug stock management tasks

· keeping stock room organised.

· assisting studio manger with twice a year stock takes.

· receiving rug shipments – checking delivery against delivery notes –

arranging unpacking of rugs – inspecting rugs, labelling rugs, arranging rugs

to be put into stock room or shipped out to clients – updating the stock list with

rug information

· maintaining accurate website stock levels on excel and website

· monitoring stock levels and reporting to studio manager or sonya when new

rug designs need to be ordered

shipping tasks

• monitoring orders and updating back end of website

- booking shipments and creating paperwork using my dhl

- recording, and tracking all shipments on master excel sheet

• picking, checking and packing rugs, and final quality control before shipment

• trouble shooting any delivery issues

customer communication:

· booking in customer showroom appointments

· greet clients that visit the showroom and assist in appointments

· following up with leads under studio manager supervision and updating crm

· send clients their tracking information and post-sale rug care

· create bespoke coupon codes for clients

· assist with taking payment from customers by either creating bespoke

payment links, over the phone or in person using the card machine

bookkeeping tasks

· downloading invoices from supplier websites and accounts inbox, scanning

and uploading paper invoices for our bookkeeper to our google drive

wordpress/ woocommerce website/ social media management

· creating product pages for new products (training provided)

· photographing rugs for ex-display section and uploading onto website

· uploading testimonials (using images retouched by the studio artist.)

· updating stock levels on the back end of website

· posting content for social media

skills required

· 2 years + experience at 1 company working in a similar role with references

· fluent english, strong writing and verbal skills.

· full right to work in the uk

· extremely well organised and good attention to detail.

· reliable and punctual, with excellent planning and organisational skills.

· apple mac, microsoft office, especially excel and google sheets experience

- knowledge of google drive

· knowledge of adobe suite is an advantage

· good it skills

· interest in design and art

the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage

and prioritise a multitude of tasks. they will be highly organised and reliable, whilst

being proactive and efficient. a self-starter with an eagerness to learn and progress

within a small team. this is a hands-on assisting role of varied tasks and duties

predominantly consisting of admin, it, and general assistance to the running of the

day-to-day studio where organisation is essential. this role is an exciting chance to

work closely with the creative director, studio artist and studio manager, and offers

new skills to be learnt where you will be encouraged to take on more responsibility

as you grow with the prospect for promotion.

salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year doe
