Production materials handlers- 1st shift - united states, springfield (massachusetts)

adecco is working with a global leader in providing essential power solutions to the industrial technology, healthcare and semiconductor manufacturing equipment sectors in gloucester, ma who is hiring immediately for additional production materials handlers on 1st shift! 

pay rate:

1st shift: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on prior experience

schedule:

1st shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, monday through friday

overtime:

overtime is available on weekdays and weekends

job details:

the production material handler will ensure safe, timely and accurate delivery of materials between all production and warehouse storage areas, while following all regulatory and internal procedures. also ensure safe, timely and accurate receipt of all inventoriable and non-inventoriable items. the position will be required to perform and document daily warehouse and production operations, while maintaining high level of attention to detail, good documentation practices, ability to follow procedures as written, and train junior associates. this position requires daily interactions with manufacturing staff, planning, procurement, quality control, quality assurance, and other materials management staff to ensure material needs are met.

responsibilities:

demonstrated computer proficiency with microsoft office programs.

strong decision making abilities, trouble shooting and thinking-out-of-the-box skills. excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time

manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds

arm, hand and finger dexterity

visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time

ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time

key qualifications and skills:

works independently, exercises sound judgment when troubleshooting.

strong knowledge of good documentation practices.

knowledge of common erp systems.

ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting moderately heavy boxes and standing for long periods of time.

valid and active driver’s license.
