Accountant (top tier developer) - united arab emirates, abu dhabi

Black & grey hr is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading developer in abu dhabi, uae. our client is seeking a highly skilled accountant to join their team. in this pivotal role, you will be responsible for daily transaction processing and will closely collaborate with the finance department reporting to the finance manager. your key responsibilities will include overseeing financial aspects such as the general ledger, accounts payable, and financial analysis of operators and subsidiaries.


- prepare and record accounting entries, process payments, and conduct three-way matches as instructed by the direct line manager. this includes managing suppliers' invoices, customer transactions, employee reimbursements, travel claims, petty cash, lpo/contract documents, and supporting materials.
- perform bank reconciliations for both suppliers and customers.
- conduct regular physical counts of fixed assets.
- contribute to special finance-related projects and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- fulfill assigned tasks or duties given by the direct manager or finance director.
- contribute to monthly closing activities to ensure timely completion within established deadlines.
- generate required financial reports as directed by the direct line manager.
- collaborate with internal and external auditors, promptly addressing their inquiries and requests.
- ensure the delivery of prompt and high-quality services to all relevant stakeholders.
- comply with company policies and procedures, international financial reporting standards (ifrs), uae laws and regulations, and promptly report any observed exceptions to the direct line manager for appropriate escalation.


requirements- prior experience in the real estate developer and/or hospitality industry is essential.
- bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field is required.
- previous experience in the gcc region is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, including bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements.
- proficiency in oracle and ms office, particularly excel.
- exceptional organizational and strong analytical skills.
