Descriptionthe proposed position will be for a member of a managed services technical team, which is responsible for voip, functions and services related issues (operations, 2nd and 3rd level support). the engineer will be working in a group of it experts locally and within multiple projects to cover the required services functionalities and availability.roles and responsibilitiesthis position will require travelling. when not on site, engineers will be assisting in the development of project plans, designs and documentation for existing and new scopes.plan, deploy, configure, troubleshoot collaboration solutions from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors e.g. ciscoestablish a working cisco uc manager 10.x voip system while keeping in mind client requirementsplan, install, configure, examine and maintain cisco call manager productsprovide on-call operational level support for all facets of cisco voip hardware and softwaredeliver proof of concepts for emerging technologiesassist in capacity planning of voip equipment and networksprovide voip architecture and infrastructure designs for data centers and site deploymentsopen tac cases to rectify user, voip or collaboration infrastructure problemswrite hld/lld for new scopes or tendershave extensive knowledge of routing protocols (static, ospf, and bgp)design and deploy changes to the configurations of clients as per the applicable change management process.recommend and develop best practices for new locationsprovide support services for sip signallingskillsrole knowledge requirementsproven track record working with leading unified collaboration systems like cisco, avayaexperience with cisco different collaboration productscisco unified computing systems (ucs)cisco analog voice gatewayscisco voice routerscisco unified communications managerscisco unity cisco emergency respondercisco expresswaycisco unified border element (cube)webexcisco prime collaboration.experience evaluating, designing, implementing, and managing collaboration infrastructureworking knowledge of secure real-time transport protocol (srtp) including associated g.711 and g.729 codecs and digital tone multi frequency (dtmf)knowledge of third party/open source sip stacksfamiliarity with ipsec implementation and troubleshootinghands-on experience with session border controllers and voice gatewaysextensive hands-on experience with dial plans, ivrs, sip, iax, rtp, srtp including tls, dids, codecs and other protocolssolid understanding of traditional telephony, pris, bris, fxo/fxs, circuit-switching, pots, pstn, mtsovery good knowledge of protocol and packet analysissolid understanding of osi model, firewalls, ip routing, ip switching, vlans, and qos/coshands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics toolsexperienced in virtualization platforms vmware and hyper-vstrong understanding of nat traversal for voipstrong understanding of h.323, mgcp & isdnconnectivity using copper/fiberimplement qos in voip networkseffective communication and strong analytical skillsknowledge of linux environments e.g. ubuntu, centos and shell/perl scriptingexpertise in developing ipt/ voip applications
