Golf course head mechanic - mechanic turf - saudi arabia, riyadh
A golf course mechanic is responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, preventive and routine maintenance, and repairing equipment such as a fleet of golf carts, riding and hand mowers, and sweepers. routine maintenance includes sharpening blades, changing oil, fueling, and inspecting and setting up equipment. duties also involve keeping work areas organized and in compliance with safety rules while working with maintenance crews to train other staff about equipment safety. other responsibilities include prioritizing repairs, keeping service records, maintaining inventory, and assisting during emergencies.
responsibilities:
-inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects or failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including diesel, gas, and electric powered golf course equipment.
-instruct and or train turf management staff regarding preventive maintenance, equipment usage, proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment.
-maintain a preventive maintenance program on all equipment.
-purchase and keep inventory of parts and replacement supplies.
-examine and service daily the equipment for performance enhancement.
-oversee and maintain the equipment area for cleanliness and safety.
-regulate use of equipment in absence of superintendent and assistant superintendents.
-perform other duties as directed by the grounds manager.
requirement:
- diploma or certificate as a turf mechanic technician or equivalent trade as a mechanic.
- 5 and more years of experience.
- knowledge of equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- experience and knowledge of golf course operation.
the job will be in riyadh. if you are willing to relocate.
