essential duties and responsibilities:

curate a differentiated employee experience: from the initial application and hiring process, to a high impact arrival experience that shapes the way an employee operates within the organization, all the way through to the exit interview, rooting in transparency, open communication, learning, growth, and celebration of achievement.
enable workforce productivity through digital systems and infrastructure that provide clarity around goals and incorporate consistent feedback loops to encourage alignment with the company’s values, behaviors, and mission.
design creative and effective strategies / programs / processes / assessments / metrics for the acquisition, holistic evaluation, and selection of prospective talent, as well as a sustainable process for succession planning.
drive growth and profitability through employee development.
enable automation of the administrative hr functions of the company that can be best accomplished by technology, enabling people to place a greater focus on the most important human-oriented needs of the company.
collaborate to design engaging programs and opportunities for learning and development, rooted in the desire to improve the quality of life by increasing the value of work.
provide oversight and ensure consistent compliance with eeoc, ada, workers’ compensation, and health benefit plan administration standards / regulations / policies.
work closely with the chief financial officer to evaluate risk exposure and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards (as9100, iso14001, etc.), and support the most efficient and effective strategies to mitigate those risks, while also striving to deliver an optimum level of autonomy, trust, and empowerment throughout the organization.
oversee the day-to-day hr tasks, including benefits administration, compensation analysis, leave policy, employee relations, exit protocols, and compliance, as well as the associated systems for time and attendance, the learning management system (lms), and performance management system (paycom).
ensure the regular review of company’s policies, procedures, and controlled documents (including job descriptions) to ensure full alignment with the company’s quality and environmental management system (qems) and relevant laws and regulations.
implement, continuously improve, and perfect processes, procedures, and systems associated with performance reviews, recruiting procedures, and organizational development.
analyze data and metrics (qualitative and quantitative) – especially from the annual organizational culture survey – to understand and improve the employee experience and sustain a strong employee retention rate.
provide leadership on people-related issues and policies across the enterprise and advocate on behalf of employees.
develop all hr policies and procedures, and ensure effective delivery to all employees via a handbook or equivalent tool.
build a strong rapport with all functions in the company through regular in-person interactions and focus on creating an atmosphere of curiosity, engagement, trust, and collaboration.
identify opportunities for organizational development, growth, succession planning, and/or change.
collaborate with internal stakeholders to architect a performance management framework / process that roots in the company “why,” corporate values, and mission, while simultaneously prioritizing a focus on the employee’s development path and behaviors.
connect and reinforce employees’ work to the greater mission / “why” of the company so as to foster sustained intrinsic motivation and deeper sense of purpose.
enable a data-driven approach to consistently evaluate the competitiveness of the company’s wages and benefit

education and experience:

minimum of bachelor’s degree in social sciences, risk management, or related fields.
at least 15 years’ experience working in a senior and/or executive leadership capacity with strong exposure to human-resources, risk management, or related field.
