Chef de partie - production kitchen - united kingdom, harlow

We manufacture high quality meals for retail, airlines, healthcare and food service in a dedicated gluten, nut and sesame-free facility. we are seeking a strong chef de partie to assist and control the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe, and pleasant environment. requirements: - to also assist in the smooth running of the kitchen with direction from the sous chefs and group executive chef. - will need nvq level 2 in food preparation and have experience in larger kitchens and production. - to prepare and cook sufficient food to provide the agreed amount of customer choice with minimum wastage. - supervise all kitchen sections. - motivate and work closely with other chefs of all levels. - being responsible for health and safety as well food hygiene practices. - to carry out the directions of the sous chefs and executive group head chef, ensuring that you coordinate the efforts of more junior members. - to ensure all food preparation is carried out in accordance with food hygiene procedures. - to ensure food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation, and quality. - to ensure portion control, preparation, and storage methods avoid wastage and keep down costs. - to assist in the completion of relevant paperwork reproduction and wastage sheets, cleaning records, etc. - to ensure the kitchen area is clean, tidy, and organised during each day hourly rate up to £12ph (depending on experience) and our standard operating days are monday to friday, although some weekend work may be required to meet deadlines. only candidates eligible to live and work in the uk may apply
