it compliance analyst - las vegas, nv

the purpose of this position is to plan, perform and execute it compliance, identity access management (iam), and it governance functions that are responsible for assuring the security administration and information authorization of switch information system and assets. performing, evaluating, remediating, and improving regulatory controls and processes for design and operational effectiveness. this role will collaborate with internal and external audit teams, management, operational departments, and other stakeholders to ensure identity access management (iam) and it compliance requirements are met.

this position will work independently, but report directly to the director of it compliance. all duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and switch policies, practices, and procedures.

essential duties and responsibilities:

helps ensure controls are in place to provide and maintain a secure and regulatory compliant technology environment by focusing on all aspects of compliance, including sarbanes oxley (sox), nist, soc, pci, hipaa, iso, cobit, etc. assists in the coordination and evaluation of various audits, review it applications and systems to ensure information security processes and procedures are being followed. develops and maintains productive relationships throughout the company through individual contacts and meetings. administers semi-annual user entitlement reviews (uer’s) across the company. reviews and authorizes access to various information systems/applications. conducts role and group-based assessments/access audits. develops alternate strategies to role based access controls (rbac) and identity and access management (iam) methodology. coordinates regulatory and compliance audit engagement activities within the technology organization. assists in coordination of it audit activities, findings, management responses, and corrective action plans. supports all audit-related aspects of it applications, infrastructure, and the development and execution of comprehensive risk assessments. corroborates with other departments as needed to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. helps facilitate annual reviews of information technology policies, procedures, and compliance. assists in coordinating annual risk assessment, incident response plan, business resiliency plan, cyber security program plan, business impact analysis, etc. reviews. assists with identifying and defining issues, analyzing evidence, documenting processes, procedures, and developing recommendations.

ability to apply knowledge of business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities. excellent understanding of risk and control concepts related to business and information technology processes. exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability to communicate process/controls and audit objectives in a collaborative and complex environment. ability to think strategically and execute plans to meet business objectives. ability to assess business and information technology processes and implement improvements and controls. good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate risks, mitigation proposals and link common themes to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. strong problem solving and analytical skills. ability to build relationships and influence others in order to achieve successful outcome in cross-functional projects and activities. strong organizational and project management skills. experience working with grc tools like workiva, auditboard, auditsource, servicenow, or similar. working knowledge of industry it risk and control frameworks such as iso27001, pci dss, and cobit. knowledge of international internal auditing standards, generally accepted accounting principles (gaap) and generally accepted auditing standards (gaas). ability to interact with senior management and communicate at all levels of the organization. knowledge of sarbanes-oxley act and related requirements preferred. ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities. familiarity with committee of sponsoring organizations (coso) internal control framework. ability to exercise judgment in the evaluation of the reasonableness of processes and controls. knowledge of identity access management (iam) and role based access controls (rbac) methodologies over varying systems/technologies. understanding of information security best practices and principles.


computer equipment and software:

proficiency in microsoft office suite products, specifically word, excel, and powerpoint microsoft windows linux splunk experience with data analytics/manipulating large data sets


certification:
cia, cpa, cissp, cisa, or similar preferred

education:
bachelor’s degree in accounting, information technology, business or related field

experience:
minimum 2+ years related experience
experience working in or around data center or technology-based industries preferred
