the nursing supervisor assumes shift accountability for hospital operations and provides direction and assistance to the primary caregivers in the patient - care areas.

minimum education
□ bachelor’s degree x preferred □ required

requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. demonstrated ability to lead groups, both formally and informally. demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of practice.

minimum work experience
required: 5 years of experience as registered nurse in a hospital setting. 3 years of progressive managerial experience.
