the activities coordinator plans and executes all therapeutic recreation activities. this position assists residents to develop, maintain and participate in all appropriate leisure lifestyles. in the absence of the director of activities, the activities coordinator will supervise the operations within activities.
in the execution of job duties, it is the universal expectation that all tasks are performed with a patient centered focus, while also seeking opportunities to continually improve core processes. incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include but is not limited to: holidays, extended shifts, night and/or weekend shifts, standby and/or on-call. this job description is only meant to be a representative summary of the major responsibilities and accountabilities performed by the incumbents of this job. employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
minimum education
□ high school diploma □ preferred x required
minimum work experience
preferred- 1 year of work experience working in long term care
required skills
driver's license (required)
valid virginia motor vehicle operators license
cna (preferred)
virginia state certified nursing assistant
required: heartsaver cpr/ first aid certification
new hires must attain within 60 days of hire date at the villa at suffield meadows.
required: must be able to meet fauquier health driver's insurance eligibility requirements.
