Machine operator - 1st shift - united states, mariehamn
day shift opportunity in lakes country! as a machine operator, you'll operate computer numerically controlled horizontal lathe, mills or turning centers to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts such as castings, forgings, and bar stock after the job is setup and approved for production by quality assurance.
duties include:
read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine operating requirements. depress buttons, toggles, and starts machining operation. observe displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments. monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process deburr products produced as needed. tag and/or mark completed material and moves product to appropriate areas. watch and check coolant fluid levels during machine operation.
candidates for this position should have ability to use gauges, calipers, tape measures and related tools as well as read and work from drawings and specifications. company may be open to training individuals that have a manufacturing or mechanical aptitude.
