position and responsibilities
as a mechanical designer (revit) with middough, you will create and establish designs consistent with good practices, client requirements, and conformance to codes & standards.  mechanical designers apply standard design and drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings in support of assigned projects and provide guidance and leadership to drafters. 
responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:generate design and detail drawings including orthographic plans, sections, and isometrics. manage and maintain the project documentation (e.g. flat files, reference/stick files, cad drawings). serve as discipline lead for select single-discipline projects, including responsibility for developing project deliverables while maintaining budget and schedule.collaborate with engineering manager to estimate work hours, develop scope of work, make staffing recommendations, and improve and maintain quality work processes. interact with other departments and suppliers to exchange and obtain pertinent information.interact with client project team members.
education, experience and skills
the successful candidate will possess the following:certification in architectural & mechanical design, computer aided design and /or equivalent program or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, engineering technology, or related field.4+ years of relevant design experience.proficient in standard drafting techniques and preparation of construction documents.proficient in operating revit hvac/mep to develop design models and documentsworking knowledge of applicable design reference documents and guides (ashrae, asme, industrial ventilation, ibc).design experience in the chemical, industrial, institutional, or architectural industries.working knowledge of autocad plant 3d (equipment, piping, and p&ids).proficient in working with navisworks (operation and conducting reviews and/or presentations).working knowledge of microsoft office products (outlook, word, excel, teams/skype).ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and all levels within middough based on professionalism, trust, integrity, and collaboration.ability to multi-task and be highly organized for effective project planning. excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
