acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our fitness trainer position.

in this role, you will motivate and encourage participants to reach their full health and wellness potential. you will coordinate all events of the fitness program including initiating and implementing programming, setting customer service standards, managing quality improvement program guidelines, working with the residents, non-residents and staff, and maintaining a fitness program across the continuum of living.



the ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

bachelor's degree in physical education, exercise science or health or related human services fieldfive years of relevant work experience in a senior living community working as a personal and/or group fitness trainercurrent certificate in senior fitness training, from certifying organizations ace, acsm and aeacpr and aed certification along with the ability to get a lifeguard and pool operator certification if neededability to fitness train groups and individualsability to safely and accurately prescribe exercise for seniorsif no certification, be enrolled by the sixth month of employment and completed within one year after (18 months)
