position description

the sr. oracle programmer/analyst will be responsible for design, analysis, and programming projects in support of the company’s erp system running on an oracle database. the candidate will coordinate and work with business analysts and internal customers independently or with minimal guidance to design, develop, maintain and enhance new and existing software, database packages and system interfaces. 

job duties function as the subject matter expert (sme) for business use of the erp functionality, providing business analysis of current or new business requirements and recommending changes in process or software improvements to support the business. work with the mis quality assurance group to verify functional accuracy of all assigned software changes. work with system administrators and mis management to plan ongoing software improvement needs related to oracle based applications. develop database packages to support development activities. provide training, support and issue resolution for less experienced team members. provide project management for software projects as necessary. ability to work independently and deliver complex projects.
minimum qualifications 7+ years of experience in an enterprise environment with application of oracle 11g (or above) and pl/sql. (oracle forms strongly preferred). 5+ years of experience in business analysis/ project management with strong comprehension of standard business processes in an erp business system. strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively, with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. demonstrated ability to solve critical problems in a timely manner within a complex business system environment. demonstrated ability to independently develop process and database structures (pfds and erds) in a complex environment. experience/desire to mentor junior developers.• experience working within the constructs of a structured sdlc to support a sox controlled environment.• demonstrated experience with system integration and interface development. previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred. •unfortunately, no sponsorship opportunities at this time*
