you’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from within the state of michigan as you take on some tough challenges.

schedule: 8-hour shift during normal business hours of 5am - 10pm local time, monday- friday with the ability to be flexible when business needs present (weekend hours).

primary responsibilities:

prescription processing, interpreting prescriptions, create order, access/inputs/retrieve prescription information contact patients, pharmacies and doctor's offices when needed notify pharmacist of relevant clinical information gathered during calls to provider or patient document workflow outcomes as needed for performance reporting ability to recommend innovative solutions and share best practices to achieve deliverables ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision ask questions effectively to gain information or clarify understanding in order to ensure high-quality work ability to navigate ambiguity and change effectively utilizing available resources to ensure project is worked efficiently success in this role will depend heavily upon your customer service skills and ability to thrive in a growth-focused, and member-centric environment

required qualifications:

high school diploma / ged (or higher) pharmacy technician license in the state of michigan one or more years of experience with windows pc applications including ms office suite (word, excel) with the ability to navigate and learn new and complex applications and systems one or more years of experience in a customer service-oriented environment ability to work on-site occasionally, with notice, as business needs require  full covid-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. unitedhealth group will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

preferred qualifications:

one or more year of retail or mail order pharmacy experience 6 or more months of pharmacy / prescription data entry experience 6 or more months of experience in a pharmacy setting (including externship experience) previous work experience in a health care/insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design) must be able to multitask efficiently excellent problem-solving and communication skills flexible and responsive to changing priorities strong research skills

telecommuting requirements:

dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas, provides information privacy, and has a hard-wired internet connection for security ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure willingness and ability to work work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours of 5am - 10pm local time, monday- friday  willingness and ability to work occasional and infrequent overtime depending on business needs
