Ledgent technology is seeking a ui designer to join a rapidly expanding company in the quincy, ma area. 

this position does require 5-10 on-site days per month once the team is back in the office.

position profile:

as a visual/ui designer, you will take charge of what online customers see when they visit their digital touchpoints. this will range from hero visuals, banner sets and product visuals all the way to icons or buttons. most of all, how does a webpage look and feel, does it help visitors, does it fulfill its role?

your job is to design these elements and also to guard the overall look and feel of the website. this means working with and for many stakeholders, but also proactively enhancing various parts of the online customer journey.

as this is a role previously outsourced with agencies, there is a lot of freedom to shape it in the best way you see fit. they're looking at you to tell them how. there are always available resources with external agencies to support you or take over work if needed, but as they grow their performance and their digital team, they aim to take more and more responsibilities in house.

responsibilities:conceptualize, design and create user interfaces and visuals for responsive web sites and mobile applications by creating wireframes, animations, graphics, illustrations, icons, and final ui designs and style guides.be familiar with web and app development lifecycles and understand the parameters that you need to work within in each medium.work in tandem with ux specialists, product managers, product owners, data analysts, and customer support stakeholders to develop hypotheses about how ui impacts sales and service performance and translate them into a/b tests or improvements.work with our brand style guide and ui kit to deliver well designed, on brand, high performing user interfaces and assets.coordinate and partner with product owners and project managers to hand off designs, provide specifications, and support the qa process through launch.be a member of scrum teams serving as the visual/ui design lead for development projects.qualifications:5+ years of experience in visual and ui design.passion for design, creative, eye for detail.must have a portfolio demonstrating creative solutions, attention to detail, understanding of contemporary typography, colors, iconography and layout.high level of independence and experience in defining and guiding product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision.data driven, experience with analytics platforms (we use google analytics). making beautiful things grounded in solid design principles.experience in designing a/b tests. let us know if there's tooling you're comfortable with setting up tests yourself of whether you'd rather brief an agency to do so.expert knowledge of cross-platform web/mobile usability standards and specifications.interested in what role this plays in ux.owning the trade and helping other team members appreciate its value.
