This is the ideal role for a very senior electronics engineer who wants to continue in hands on technical work, take the lead on projects but is not particularly interested in man management. although a large company, this organisation has a relatively flat structure and have recently won an award for being an outstanding employer to work for. they have a very long list of attributes that make them stand out from the crowd - as well as the usual corporate benefits package and performance related bonus schemes, employees benefit from a very active social club that has created a "family feel" to the company, free lunch and breakfast, structured career development plans that allow staff to thrive within both technical disciplines and leadership roles, a very large budget for employee training and perhaps most importantly there is an incredible amount of variety in technical work - electronic engineers typically work on 2-3 different projects at once and in turn, the company have a very low turnover of staff. they are currently looking for lead electronic engineers to design complex electronic systems within a range of radio based wireless applications including telecommunications, medical, engineering and consumer goods. recent examples include the hardware and software development of a wireless healthcare telemetry system, an aerospace radio system, a satellite communication unit and various wireless iot developments. in most cases, the lead electronics engineer will work with one or more software or hardware engineers as part of a multidisciplinary project team. you may also participate in meetings with clients from time to time. lead electronics engineer minimum requirements extensive background in electronics design, analogue and digital fundamentals, degree in a relevant subject such as electronic engineering, understanding of other engineering disciplines, great communication skills and a passion for technical problems. lead electronics engineer desirable requirements understanding of wireless communications systems, rf software skills - embedded c, c++, python eda tools fpga or asic design regulated environments such as medical, security, safety critical
