About relevance relevance is a digital marketing agency headquartered in monaco with a uk team based around bath and bristol. we are a collective of creatives and digital strategists who strive to make our clients the best in their class. we are global but personal. we don’t believe in gimmicks. we know that luxury marketing is special – because beauty alone is not enough. we are passionate goal-setters – fusing creativity, strategy and analytics. we are relevance. the role working with our chief financial officer, this role is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the cfo in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. reporting reports to cfo and ceo responsibilities assists staff accountants in performing general ledger functions and cost controls records and codes financial transactions for department expenditures, project costing, and company profitability analyzing financial data for senior management examining the accuracy of financial documents finding and addressing any discrepancies verifies and confirms data for given accounting systems compiles financial information to prepare reports for job costing, budget analysis, and overhead accounting track expenses for companies, departments, and projects (including advertising spend from platforms such as google, facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc.) works to ensure compliance in all financial transactions. ensures files are indexed, verified, and available in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations support with the creation and amendments of contracts reviewing the validity of invoices for payment from relevance preparing invoices for submission to clients qualifications and competencies bachelor's degree in accounting or related (essential). certified professional accountant (cpa) certificate (advantageous). 1 year of accounting work experience (not essential). sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills. ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. critical thinker with a high proficiency in mathematics. ability to work independently and as part of a team. high sense of confidentiality excellent report writing, communication and it skills. advanced competency in microsoft office and accounting software packages (quickbooks).
