The alpaca in islington is looking for a sous chef to join the team and help this well-loved independent pub earn a reputation as a top food destination in north london. the pub serves modern british dishes with contemporary european influences. we also offer quality classic pub dishes as well as a very popular sunday roast offering. the right person will have some professional training and at least 2-3 years experience of cooking in a similar environment. a good sense of humour and a positive outlook will also stand any candidate in good stead! job duties: prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner follow recipes and presentation specifications operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment restock items as needed throughout the shift adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards additional duties: menu planning ordering and stock control recording food temperatures preparing reports
