Location: king's lynn, norfolk salary: gbp9.48 posted: 1 feb 2022 closes: 15 feb 2022 job type: part time and permanent business unit: uk facilities management region / division: uk & ireland reference: 10768 role responsibility: cleaner location: hellesdon hospital, norwich hours: 20 hours per week (saturday & sunday) salary: gbp9.48 to gbp18.96 per hour please include in all nsft adverts! weekend rates: saturdays - gbp14.22 & sunday's - gbp18.96 this role and contract sits within our facilities management sector of g4s, where we aim to improve the lives of people across the uk and ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments. we currently have an opportunity for a cleaner to join our team as part of our contract with the norfolk and suffolk nhs foundation trust. you will be based at chatterton house, king's lynn, norfolk, pe30 5pd. this is a part-time role working 20 hours per week monday - sunday between 07:00 - 19:00 the rate of pay is gbp9.48 per hour monday to friday, gbp14.22 per hour on saturday's and gbp18.96 for any hours worked on sundays. as a cleaner, you will ensure that the areas within the site are kept to the required levels of cleanliness to the satisfaction of both g4s facilities management and the client. other key responsibilities will include: to carry out all cleaning assigned, making full use of guidance and training given and using checklists provided. collection, segregation and disposal of waste materials. undertake manual and mechanical cleaning activities in accordance with the cleaning schedule. ensure that all cleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis. provide emergency and ad hoc cleaning as required. work safely at all times giving due consideration to yourselves and others. use the appropriate work equipment and ppe provided. check equipment for faults and notify the relevant person. ensure all equipment is cleaned and correctly stored after use. report any maintenance required to the maintenance department and/or advise a member of the supervisory or management team. the ideal candidate: essential criteria: excellent ability to follow instructions. ability to work as a team. relevant cleaning experience. good interpersonal skills. desirable maths and english gcse's or equivalent benefits: competitive salary enhanced pay rates at weekends (50% saturday and 100% sunday) 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time employees) company sick pay company pension contributions life assurance scheme employee discounts scheme
