Bookkeeper - united kingdom, new glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established textile design and retail company based in the west end of glasgow. this is a full-time position and the right candidate will have experience of:  maintaining both the sales and purchase ledgers  bank reconciliations  preparation of quarterly vat returns  preparation of month end accounts to trial balance  assisting with short term cashflow forecasting it is essential that the candidate has excellent attention to detail and can work unsupervised and to deadlines. the company is transitioning its accounting system from sage to xero so a knowledge of xero would be advantageous but is not essential so long as the applicant is willing to get involved in establishing a new system. you will be reporting to and working closely with the directors of the business and expected to liaise with its external accountants. based in our lovely bright head office in the west end of glasgow we are a friendly team and looking for someone friendly and personable to join us. job types: full-time, permanent salary: up to £30,000.00 per year
