as a patient service representative, you will follow written procedures to schedule patients and enter demographics related to your office's clients - having a strong attention-to-detail helps! this job involves problem solving and researching to assist in pre-certifications, prior authorizations and appeals if necessary. part of your daily duties will include the simple task of answering phones and office correspondence. you may also do some administrative work as needed or other projects assigned by your supervisor.
a big part of this role involves reviewing documents and data entry using scheduling software. to succeed, you'll want to be comfortable sitting at a workstation for long periods of time and possess previous emr or scheduling system and ms office experience.
