In this role you will:
• perform laboratory analyses and tests to diagnose various pet and other animal illnesses, injuries and diseases; process specimens, retrieve and release test results, and assist in test research.
• perform a variety of instrument test protocols for new and existing products.
• maintain and communicate schedules and changes in schedules.
• manage lab inventory, procure supplies and stock shelves.
• be responsible for general lab maintenance and overall cleanliness of lab and lab equipment.
• support and maintain various processes, systems and databases.
• perform recordkeeping, data collection and analysis.
• transcribes and edits pre-dictated medical reports using dictation and editing equipment (both hardware and software)
• perform administrative duties such as answering phones and preparing parcel deliveries, files requisitions, and performs duties in support of billing, pricing and sample transportation.

• ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (sops), material safety data sheets (msdss), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules and technical procedures.
• ability to prioritize and multi-task
• strong initiative and follow through
• attention to detail
• ability to work independently and as a team contributor
• must demonstrate a high level of customer service
• good computer skills: microsoft office and sap preferred
• you meet the physical requirements that go with working as a lab associate – may transport hazardous waste within the facility and may occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
