our client is looking for a radiology technologist in the beaver falls, pa area.
primary responsibilities:
1. complete provider orders per state and provider regulations
2. perform accurate x-rays as ordered by the provider while practicing radiation safety precautions to include alara
3. prepare and transmit images to the radiologist for over-read, and report over-read results to providers
4. retrieve and archive radiographic reports
5. create/burn cd?s in compliance with hipaa regulations
6. perform detailed and accurate data collection during clinical intake of patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history
7. assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
8. complete occupational health testing including such services as urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, hair testing and physicals
9. complete patient referrals and patient callbacks daily
10. proper, concise and complete emr documentation and paper based documentation for all assessments and procedures
11. other basic nursing duties as assigned such as new models of care and new types of procedures, etc.
required qualifications:
1. graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
2. licensed and accredited by arrt and state, if applicable and required by law
3. maintain ceu/cme's as applicable for licensure
4. you will be provisioned with appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role
preferred qualifications:
1. 2+ years clinical experience in related field
2. ability to perform venipuncture and lab specimen collections experience
3. urgent care experience
4. comfortable working independently without the support of another radiologic technologist
5. experience performing all standard radiographic studies on pediatric and geriatric patients
6. experience with computed and digital radiography
7. experience with taking patient vitals
8. experience performing venipuncture and lab specimen collection
9. experience performing point of care testing (i.e. rapid strep, rapid flu, and urinalysis)
10. experience performing employer health services (i.e. urine drug screen, breath alcohol testing, dot examinations)
11. experience documenting in electronic medical records and pacs
schedule will fall between 8am-8pm
