the senior provider relations representative is responsible for various activities related to the provider network database which may include any or all of the following: database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses, as well as reviewing/analyzing spreadsheets. the senior provider relations representative maintains standards to ensure the accuracy of provider information. this position requires a strong understanding of microsoft excel to conduct audits of information. in this position, you will use your strong customer service and consultative skills to work with others to obtain information and resolve errors. this position is accountable for a full range of network management and service interactions.

primary responsibilities:

use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise investigate non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others work exclusively within a specific knowledge area prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines provide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise review/analyze spreadsheets initiate requests to complete updates and execute agreements

required qualifications:

undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience  2+ years data analysis and/or audit experience within the healthcare industry  2+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience  understanding of provider demographics and contractual arrangements working knowledge of the provider maintenance database (ndb)  exceptional skills in quality review, root cause analysis, detailed reporting of findings and error resolution intermediate level of proficiency with microsoft word and excel  intermediate level of research and analytical skills  full covid-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. unitedhealth group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

preferred qualifcations:

2+ years of health care/managed care experience  ability to work independently and stay on task
