our client is a global leader in iot environmental data products and creates products for hundred of environmental applications all integrated with web and mobile applications. these products are used in agricultural, oceanographic, water, indoor, outdoor, and cold chain applications. the engineering manager is a contributing member and leader of a functional team within engineering, working closely with other engineering teams to accomplish product-development goals.

responsibilities:

-makes critical contributions in design and development efforts for new releases and sustaining improvements of their products

-contributes to multiple major projects and provides technical and architectural guidance to the team

-supports existing engineering processes within his/her discipline

-identifies and drives process improvements in his/her respective functional area

-ensures individuals in the team adhere to iso standards and processes

-contributes to performance evaluations, using input from core team leads, functional team leads, and directors

-maintains understanding of current and emerging technologies in his/her primary engineering discipline
