Busy medical office in linden is looking for a call center representative.
this is a direct hire position.
duties:
responds to incoming phones calls for all sites promptly and in an exceptional quality manner
appropriately schedules patient appointments based on physician guidelines- includes faxed and telephone referrals via par80, and new submission requests
maintains strong knowledge of all site protocols and physician schedules/changes to ensure appropriate information is provided to patients
" clearly and concisely documents every patient request and pertinent information via ehr so that practice can successfully respond to patient needs
through appropriate call control, ensures that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.
" performs real-time eligibility during appointment calls
" performs batch eligibility two days prior to the day's visit
" makes confirmation phone calls to patients to verify upcoming appointments
" ensures all faxes are cleared off the machine and distributed/processed throughout the day
" sorts incoming reports and directs to appropriate person
" facilitates any physician or manager requests throughout the day
" maintains and respects the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and hipaa & compliance guidelines
" maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
attends all regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as required
high school diploma or ged equivalent
bilingual spanish preferred
• basic computer knowledge mandatory- comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications
prefer two years of current work experience as a call center rep in a medical practice
two years' experience in verifying insurances
