job description:
the phil sales associate i, endowment and foundation associate (efa) serves as sales support to endowment and foundation specialists (efs) covering our northeast sales region. the efa role serves as a critical member of the business development team in our pursuit of new business with institutional and private nonprofit organizations. the efa will work with the isds to develop a sales territory and cultivate relationships with both private bank and merrill advisors.
major responsibilities:
actively manage sales pipeline with efss by ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely entry of proactive and reactive interactions into the client relationship management (crm) system
build out institutional profiles for new and existing relationships by collaborating with internal strategic partners and subject matter experts
participate in market management routines with efss, leadership, and advisors
stay current on the competitive landscape and how to handle objections
respond to all inbound sales inquiries, literature or presentation requests, and service issues in a proactive and timely manner
assist efss with meeting schedule coordination, pre-meeting research, and timely follow up for post meeting activities
coordinate pricing proposals with efs and pricing teams
elevate philanthropic solutions’ internal brand awareness through phone interactions with advisors
assist in development of appropriate sales materials for prospect presentations
provide support to the deals team involved in the rfp process
actively participate in ongoing management of assigned markets business objectives, strategy and execution
serve as vocal member of team, offering innovative ideas, insights and tactics to increase business efficiency and delivery
key skills and competencies:
must have a passion for sales and a willingness to learn about the institutional asset management marketplace
must posses excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, and work well under pressure in a team environment
must posses strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with our advisors, as well as, with all levels of internal colleagues and our prospects
have a desire to learn about the institutional marketplace, including, asset allocation strategy, spending policy and other related attributes of nonprofit organizations
desire to grow, take on more, and to learn innovative sales strategies

desired qualifications:
four-year degree is required
one to two years of relevant experience within a financial services organization is preferred
technically proficient with microsoft office, including advanced power point, crm systems
series 7 and 66 licenses required, or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
