high school grad or equivalency 3+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience certified pharmacy tech or pharmacy intern sterile compounding & aseptic technique-iv cert course current certification from nationally recognized board/associationjob summary:
the pharmacy technician supervisor has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician pdo/sick coverage and technician assignments. other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. if applicable for the facility, information systems must be accessed for pharmacy charge data, ahs cdm databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts and data files.

manages medication delivery activities prepares accurate medication products for delivery prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when checking products performs oral and injectable product compoundingsupervises technician and intern practice
maintains appreciation for and competency to perform technician duties and roles as needed prioritizes work load, organizes work flow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities intervenes as needed to optimize the patient-centered pharmacy services provided in/by practice areapharmacy practice
