job description overview:
mechanic is responsible to ensure the safety and reliability of units. must be self motivated, able to communicate and computer literate including the ability to work with computer based equipment.
essential duties and responsibilities:
diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturerâs specifications for trucks and trailers. document correct mileage/hours and record parts and time required for warranty repairs. perform dot inspections. perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers such as fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections and brake repairs. receive calls from breakdown units and perform problem resolution.drug screen required.
