  position summary
 the assembler position may be crossed-trained in assembly, sandable final finish, demold and/or material cutting functions and be utilized, in those functions, throughout the facility, based on customer demand.
 
  what you will do:
 
assembly:
read route card to determine what hardware and how many are used. properly set part before install.grind hardware location and, if needed, hardware without grinding powder coat.install hardware with proper fixtures using a plexus gun.sandable final finish:
know/use the proper tools and equipment to ensure the part meets the customer’s specificationsknow/use the correct materials for repairing/finishing parts per the route cardaccurately use all gauges, fixtures and locators related to the jobuse proper procedure/techniques when spraying gel over defectshelp determine root cause of quality issues that arise to help eliminate defects as well as use proper procedure to fix defectsuse basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, dividecheck expiration dates and follow the procedure for expired materialinspect parts at every stage of the process to identify defects and correct immediatelyread, understand and follow work proceduresfollow safety guidelines and wear required ppemaintain all necessary documentation related to positiondemold:
communication.find root cause.check part for defects before demolding.clean/inspect all ports, pots, lids, seals, flanges etc.…determine if there is glass or gel over the dynamic seal.know when to pull the mold or back shell out for cleaning waxing or repair.let team leader or designee know about any issues. make sure route card is signed off for every step that has been completed. produces quality parts at or above expected rate.utilizes time and skills effectively.uses safety guidelines and proper ppe to protect self and reminds others of importance.reads, understands, and follows procedures related to position.maintain all necessary documentation related to position. material cutting:
know all tools and equipment related to position and what to use to replicate customer specifications.correctly identifies material to use.accurately use all gauges, fixtures, and locators related to position.uses knowledge of all tools and equipment related to position to replicate customer specifications.uses knowledge of root cause of quality issues that arise to help eliminate defect & uses proper procedure to fix defect.accurately trace patterns and cut on pattern lines.identify & locate correct pattern required.forklift certified to load rolls of mat on turn style.basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.read, understand, and follow schedule.  what you need to be successful:
prior experience in composites or similar industry preferredstrong problem-solving ability including troubleshooting and resolving issuesmust be able to stand for prolonged periods of timemust be able to reach and bend on a consistent basismust be able to occasionally lift 50 lbsability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environmenteffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenability to organize and prioritize workloadability to exercise initiative and sound judgmentability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mindevidence of a satisfactory work record including performance, attendance and teamworkability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within the company guidelinesavailable for overtime as needed why join our team:
