Position summary:provides day to day support functions for the financial services team with an emphasis on the home health and hospice divisions. comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information.

essential duties and responsiblities:

the following statements describe the principal activities of this position identified and shall not be construed as a detailed exposition of all the duties that may be inherent in this position. represents the financial services department in a professional and courteous manner at all times; responsible for the timely processing of billing and collections for home health & hospice; learns new software updates as they become available; answers financial services phone calls and communicates information in a professional and courteous manner to vendors, staff, peers and supervisors; complies with compliance plan; complies with hipaa policies. maintains confidentiality of information relating to the patient and family. will discuss only those aspects necessary to the care and treatment of patient and family with those directly involved in the patient’s care; as business needs may change, may perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor that are reasonably related to the position.

position requirements/qualifications:

high school diploma or equivalent; some college or post-high school education preferred.

• minimum of six (6) months billing
• customer service, data entry and clerical experience required.
