job overview

pst is currently seeking a fabricator. this position will be based out of the pst facility located in orangeburg, ny. this position reports to an operations supervisor. the individual in this role will train under experienced operators to become fully proficient in the following responsibilities and areas.

essential primary responsibilities

operate heavy machinery and equipment to fabricate and manufacture materials press and roll materials to specific dimensions heat treat materials bond materials together read and understand blueprints read and interpret procedures perform preventive maintenance use measuring equipment such as calibrators and micrometers work in a strong safety-oriented environment

required skills/abilities :

good verbal and written communication skills. good organizational skills and attention to detail. ability to quickly learn the organization’s production processes good interpersonal skills basic computer skills

education and experience :

minimum of a high school diploma/ged

preferred education and experience :

technical school graduate or completion of technical courses

physical requirements :

in addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities :
