work skills corporation (wsc), [link available when viewing the job] , is seeking part-time behavior technicians for its growing aba program, aimed at assisting with the social, behavioral, and academic needs of autistic children.
hours range from 9 am to – 7:30pm, monday through friday, with daytime hours on saturday as needed. our center is located in brighton, mi.
no experience necessary but experience working with youth is a plus. hands-on, one on one training is provided to prepare you to successfully provide direct services to school-aged, autistic children (6-12) in a clinic setting. previous experience in client care settings including cna, direct care, caregiver, or patient care tech; behavior or mental health tech; or lpn is helpful but not necessary. we do believe caring for others such as friends or family count as experience--because it is!
qualifications
· high school or equivalent required
· ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
· desire to be involved in a collaborative team of professionals with the drive to achieve positive outcomes
this is a perfect position for those seeking part-time work to supplement incomes while helping others. we love working with current students, recent graduates, retirees, paraprofessionals, caregivers and/or anyone with the skills and desire to work with children. position provides supervision towards bacb required fieldwork if enrolled in a bcba or bcaba program. great opportunity to gain observation and client care hours for pre-med, pre-physician assistants, ot, cota, pt, pta, bcba, bacb, speech therapy, psychology, social work or nursing students.
