ardurra is seeking a senior water/wastewater engineer/project manager to join our staff in anderson, sc.

this position will be expected to plan, design, and possibly manage multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems for municipal type clients in the southeast region. the individual should be capable of performing the technical design and/or hydraulic modeling requirements on water/wastewater projects and collaborate with our team of engineers, eit's, cadd technicians, and sub consultants, to successfully execute these types of projects.

primary duties

develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water / wastewater storage and conveyance systems. more specific responsibilities include performing or managing engineering/process design, hydraulic analysis, pumping system design, and treatment process project designability to coordinate with the multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projectsability to create, calibrate, modify and perform hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems, and interpret and communicate the results to othersdepending on candidate experience, you will manage and owrk on a variety of water/wastewater projects including but not limited to water/wastewater treatment platns, pump stations, water transmission and distribution systems, wastewater collection and transmission systems.perform business development duties with current and potential clientsbecome an active member of the water environment association of sc

education and experience requirements

bachelor of science degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering or other related engineering from an abet accredited collegeminimum of 5 years progressive experience in the municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field of engineering; ideal candidate will have 10 years of experienceprofessional engineer's license in the state of south carolina and the ability to gain licensure via reciprocity in georgia, north carolina and florida within 1 year of employmentexperience design of water/wastewater treatment projects as well pipeline design, pump stations, and/or experience performing water distribution and wastewater modelingadvanced understanding of water treatment / distribution and wastewater collection / treatment principles and state regulations is preferredability to research and utilize available resourcescandidate must be self-motivated, able to lead or assist a project team to completion of multiple projects simultaneouslyan attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our company culture is a mustability to effectively communicate, in english, both verbally and in writing
