position summary and responsibilities

teledyne marine systems is seeking an entry-level individual for our production team, primarily.  this position will involve assembly, test, and troubleshooting of sub-assemblies and electromechanical products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. he/she must be a self-starter, work with limited supervision and be able to work in a team environment.

strong electronic and mechanical aptitudeability to read assembly prints, procedures and schematicsexcellent written/verbal communicationcomputer skills and knowledge of office softwareability to multitask and meet strict deadlinesassemble and testing of subassemblies and electromechanical productswillingness to work overtime during peak times comply with of all company safety policiescandidate must possess u.s. citizenship or be a 'u.s. person'

qualifications/requirements:

education/experience

hs/ged0-2 years technical experience knowledgeable in the use of basic test equipment (dmm, oscilloscope, power supplies etc.)soldering experienceability to read assembly prints, procedures and schematicssuccessfully pass company provided ipc-j-std-001 certificationsuccessfully pass company provided ipc/whma-a-620-cable and harness assembly-certificationability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitudeability to be flexible and willing to work in a fast pace team environmentability to react quickly to changing priorities

 

preferred:

prior experience with oceanographic research equipment a definite plusexposure to continuous improvement principalsexperience with electromechanical assembly
