borrego is seeking a project manager i to join our growing team! the project manager i typically has a minimum of 3 years of project management experience in constructing photovoltaic systems. the pm-i will typically manage one to two projects with significant oversight by a sr. pm, and minimal delegation of tasks. using problem-solving skills, they will create and manage a schedule and budget to required margins and make day-to-day decisions for the project, managing vendors, subcontractors, and the client.  we offer a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work remotely 2-3 days a week and from the office 2-3 days a week.

 about the role

 position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

plan, budget, manage, and complete turn-key pv projects of moderate complexity, or multiple projects of lesser complexity simultaneouslyreview contract documents and proposals to identify project requirements. develop a project plan to meet requirements within the borrego standard operating procedures (sop)coordinate design and permitting activities with engineering team and local authoritiesdetermine appropriate schedule for material buyouts and coordinate purchases and logistics with borrego procurement teammanage subcontractor buyout process through development of scopes, bidding process, subcontractor awards and contract activitiesat project close out, ensure all deliverables have been met, documentation has been archived and review lessons learnedact as primary single point of contact for the customerprovide clear and accurate communications to the customer, borrego management and other key stakeholders during the project cyclemanage with diverse teams of individuals to accomplish required outcomes for safety, quality, cost, schedule and scopeprovide leadership for a strong safety performance throughout the projectwork with field personnel to ensure the quality of delivered systems and conformance to borrego standardsdeliver projects within the established budget. support value engineering to reduce costs in labor, materials and equipmentdeliver projects within the established schedule. lead efforts to reduce project duration and increase velocity without sacrificing other outcomesactively participate in reviews of actual versus estimated costs to provide feedback and meet cost reduction goalsensure that the scope requirements are met without unnecessary wastesupport other project managers on more complex projectsmanage assigned portions of work and provide clear status reports to primary project managersupport value engineering and project velocity improvementsupport department improvements and sales effortsbe an active participant in department and company initiativessupport sales activities with estimates, contract review and client communicationsperform other duties as assigned
