borrego is seeking a civil engineer i or ii to join our growing team based in either latham, ny or lowell, ma. we offer a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work remotely 2-3 days a week and from the office 2-3 days a week.

about the role: 

the civil engineer i will work with a team of engineers, project developers, project managers, and engineering consultants to review, design, and permit solar pv, energy storage and wind energy projects ranging in size from 1mw to 25mw+. primary duties include site civil and stormwater design, creation of plan sets, permit applications, and due diligence activities associated with the entitlement of ground-mounted solar and renewable energy systems. there will be opportunities to interact with towns, counties, conservation districts, cities, and various state-level agencies. the successful candidate will functionally report to the civil engineering technical leader.

b.s. or m.s. in civil engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalenteit certificate or on-track to take the fundamentals of engineering exam preferred1 - 2 years of experience, experience can include internships - recent engineering grads encouraged to applyfamiliarity or experience with field surveying and/or ecological surveysexperience with autocad and civil 3d preferredexperience with hydrological modeling, hydrocad preferredhigh energy, resourceful, and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.ability to work in ad-hoc teams, take direction, and communicate effectivelyability to occasionally visit project sites for pre-development evaluations or construction supervisionability to occasionally drive to evening-time meetings of project approving authoritiessalesforce experience preferredpassionate about renewable sources of energy
