job summary:
responsible for safe operation of the box make-up shed equipment.
general responsibilities:
* responsible for following the site safety rules and actively participates on the site safety committee including weekly safety tailgates and completing training.
* executes site secured procedures and reports any unsafe condition or security breach immediately to supervisor.
* completes daily "pre-flight"equipment checklist and ensures machine and other equipment and tools are in good working order. reports any unsafe condition and required repairs to make-up shed supervisor immediately.
* inspects pallet of kd's for any damage or defects and report immediately to supervisors.
* safely feed kd's into feed hopper of packaging make-up machine.
* refills, as needed, glue pellets and maintains condition and operation of glue machine.
* responsible for helping facility achieve superior customer service levels; 98% on-time delivery performance, 97% inventory accuracy, and works closely with customer service to ensure timely and accurate billing and proper vmi levels are maintained.
* executes quality standards for made-up box spec and responsible to report any damage to product, equipment or building immediately to supervisor.
