a premier chassis supplier that designs and manufactures brake, suspension, and chassis systems for the global transportation market. we are seeking an electrical systems engineer to join our embedded control system technical center in brighton, mi.

job responsibilities:

design and develop embedded control systems for brake, suspension, and chassis productsreview customer requirements to ensure appropriate flow down to the electronic control unit (ecu)generate ecu requirements for hardware and basic softwaredevelop architecture design for ecu electronics and basic softwarecreate verification methodologies that ensure ecu hardware and basic sw designs meet requirementsperform development and verification testing of the ecu electrical and basic sw designinterface with the electrical hardware design team and basic sw team to address/resolve issuessupport ecu and subsystem validation testinginvestigate and resolve product issues found during development and validation testingsupport ecu design compliance assessment based on oem application-specific requirementssupport dmea and system safety development activities
requirement qualifications:bsee degreeexperience in embedded control system designexperience with hardware and software designexperience with microprocessor based applicationsexperience in vehicle electrical systemsexperience in electrical system testingelectronics lab in using electronic test equipment and modified electronic hardwaregood technical problem solving skillsstrong written and verbal communication skillsfamiliarity with common computer applications - word, excels, powerpoint, databases, etc.
