the leavenworth consolidated mail outpatient pharmacy (leavenworth cmop), located in shawnee, kansas, requires an automated prescription fulfillment system (apfs) that fully supports industry dispensing trends, provides improvements in processing accuracy and timeliness of throughput, contains all commercial-off-the-shelf (cots) as well as commercially available replacement components for follow-on maintenance, and is expandable and configurable to meet future fulfillment needs. leidos is under contract to provide this capability. the system is comprised of a large set complex electro-mechanical devices and interconnected computer networking equipment providing data and control to dispense pharmacy products mail-direct to va consumers.Â
the role of a cmop chief technical engineer/lead is to lead the delivery, implementation, test, and acceptance of the solution per the va customer requirements/needs.â¯Â
primary responsibilities:Â
the responsibilities for this position include requirements review/definition, solution definition, system functional and technical design/review, system testing, solution delivery, leading customer and subcontractor interactions, and customer acceptance based on system requirementsÂ
requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of solution developmentÂ
requires ability to lead a large and diverse leidos and contractor engineering teamÂ
provides engineering management of solution delivery for the internal and subcontractor teamÂ
provides technical management of all subcontractorsÂ
basic qualifications:Â
masters with 15 â 20 years of prior relevant experience or doctorate with 13 â 16 years of prior relevant experience.⯠industry experience/certifications will be considered in augmenting years of experienceÂ
strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in government network design, implementation, operations, and modernizationÂ
experience and/or expertise in at least three of the following areas: networking, system development, software or application development, hardware engineering, operations, system architecture, electo-mechanical controls, information assurance or cyber security
experienced professional in contract performance with demonstrated technical leadership and customer relationship buildingÂ
understands teammate technology offeringsÂ
ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executivesÂ
preferred qualifications:Â
direct experience supporting va and/or dhaÂ
direct experience with the design and delivery of electro-mechanical systemsÂ

pay range:
pay range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00
