job description  

the i&e inspector assists the project manager by preparing, auditing, examining, and performing inspection of electrical & instrumentation installation and procedures.  

serves and schedules inspections and examines as required by project team, owner, or client.monitor and review the implementation of the epc contractor’s site quality management systemset and prepare project quality audit schedules and conduct project quality auditing. provides technical assistance to project management in selecting optimum construction procedures and/or techniques to meet project specifications.delivers technical assistance to project management regarding the selection of tools, instruments, and test equipment to implement or remove in the project quality control.arrange and conduct drawing audits on field drawings to ensure that the drawings being used are the most current revision.enhances quality performance and exceeds expectations across the project through audits and surveillance.coordinates examination, inspection, and test plans with project management and client representatives.adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.performs other duties as assigned.
 
qualifications  

education and experience

certification as an inspector minimum 20 years of experience (quality assurance / quality control in testing, installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment)  associate in quality assurance / quality control testing (preferred)

licenses/certifications

nccer accreditation in technical electrical or instrumentationtwic card required

knowledge/ skills/abilities

reasoning skills/abilities: advanced level requiredcomputer skills: provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred.strong recognition of industry codes and standards related to electrical and instrumentation installation and testingable to use microsoft office to prepare reports and document proceduresgood written and verbal communication skills with project management, supervision and client relationshealth, safety and environment awareness and commitment

travel

travels up to 80% of time.travel to client site required.
