job summary:
the drafter/designer using solidworks/autocad creates or modifies electrical and mechanical drawings for induction power supplies, power transmission systems, and control circuitry.

education:

associate’s degree, preferred 1-2 years of design experience

essential functions:

proficient in the use of solidworks/autocad knowledge in standard drafting practices. good basic math skills. proficient in microsoft office bundle. able to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings. able to read measuring devices (tape measures, rulers, vernier calipers). excellent phone and communication skills. candidate should feel comfortable providing creative input/suggestions and be able to express oneself clearly and persuasively. able to review and complete redlines. possess problems solving and organizational skills. able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities. create and store drawings into automated manufacturing systems. prepare variations of design and explain concepts to manufacturers. regular attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime. will be required to maintain a clean and safe work area. will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.

non-essential functions:

experience in designing/drafting electrical cabinets, is a plus. able to speak foreign languages
